Happiness begets Happiness

Lately I’ve been a bit apprehensive about going to the doctors.  Seems like every time I go there’s something new wrong with me that I have to deal with and this time I thought was no exception.  As many of you know I have recently started a new relationship.  As it turns out this girl loves to cook and I’ve been treated to spectacular dinners virtually every night.  Now we’re talking well rounded, moderately portioned yet filling meals which usually includes leftovers for lunch.

It really felt as if I’ve been eating much more than I used to cooking for myself.  As it turns out, it apparently makes a huge difference when you drop the frozen processed foods and switch over to real home cooked meals.  Hopping on the scale at the doctors office we were both blown away… a 10-pound loss in 3-weeks with no effort.

Now with that taste of success a whole world of motivation has opened up and I’m really watching my diet again.  Of course I think there’s another whole piece to this puzzle.  I’m really happy.  I feel a good atmosphere and healthy mental state can go a long way to better health.
